Equipping the Called: Creating An All-New Digital Learning Experience for Church Planters

The Woodlands Methodist Church sought to create a comprehensive digital training platform that would equip and inspire new church planters within its newly affiliated denomination, the Global Methodist Church. Winsome Co. was entrusted with the challenge of naming, branding, and launching this initiative, ensuring it captured both the practical and spiritual dimensions of the calling.

Inspired by the biblical metaphor of sowing and harvesting, we developed the name Planters Field Training Academy, drawing from Matthew 13:8—“Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.” This verse embodies the mindset, heart posture, and mission of the program: to cultivate new faith communities that will bear lasting fruit in their fulfillment of the Great Commission. Guided by the new tagline, ‘Sow Good Seed In Good Soil,’ the academy provides future church planters with the tools, wisdom, and spiritual foundation needed to nurture thriving faith communities.

Beyond the name, Winsome Co. meticulously crafted a cohesive brand identity that conveys warmth, credibility, and theological depth. From designing a modern and scripturally inspired visual system to shaping the brand’s messaging, every element was created to resonate with aspiring pastors and church leaders. The brand identity we developed ensured consistency across all touch points—logos, typography, color palettes, and storytelling frameworks—reinforcing the program’s commitment to community, mentorship, and spiritual formation. We also applied the brand identity onto the PlantersField.org website, an engaging and user-friendly digital platform that serves as the home for the 12-module Essentials of Church Planting training course.

A Taste of Heyday, Tailored for the Feed.

Winsome Co. designed and launched of the e-learning platform for the client, overseeing every detail — from filming and post-production of all presenter training videos to the development of downloadable written resources. Our team carefully coordinated, filmed, and edited each instructional video, ensuring clarity, engagement, and spiritual impact. The interactive course modules were programmed onto a e-learning platform, offering an intuitive experience that allows church planters to absorb, reflect, and apply the concepts at their own pace. By integrating high-quality video content with written supplements and interactive learning tools, we transformed Planters Field into a fully immersive educational experience that fosters both knowledge and community.

The launch of Planters Field Training Academy marks a pivotal moment in resource development for The Woodlands Methodist Church, and in the advancement of Methodism on a global scale.
